About The Position

The Floor Technician provides cleaning and floor-care services in a hospital environment, helping create a safe, clean, and comfortable setting where patients can heal. The role is part of the housekeeping team and involves following HHS cleaning procedures and providing friendly, kind service to people throughout the hospital. Full-time and part-time positions are available, with day, evening, and night shifts.

Requirements

Must be at least 17 years old.
Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
Practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and wear a uniform.
Pass a background check and drug screen and provide proof of employment eligibility in the U.S.
Stand, walk, squat, bend, twist, kneel, and reach continuously throughout a shift.
Frequently push, pull, and lift furniture and equipment weighing 25–100 lb.
Continuously push and pull carts or equipment weighing over 100 lb. on tile and carpeted floors.
Handle chemicals including bleach, wax, and disinfectants.
Operate equipment necessary to perform the essential functions of the job.

Nice To Haves

Housekeeping experience, including cleaning, environmental services, custodial or janitorial work, room attendant duties, floor care, hotel operations, or healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

Perform cleaning, buffing, and bonneting procedures to maintain floors.
Perform floor-stripping and extraction projects as assigned.
Follow HHS cleaning procedures and best practices.
Provide friendly and kind service to all individuals in the hospital.
Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently.
