About The Position
San Joaquin Valley Rehabilitation Hospital in Fresno, California, is a 62-bed acute rehabilitation hospital serving people recovering from disabilities caused by injuries or illnesses. The hospital provides a fast-paced, friendly work environment focused on helping patients regain physical or cognitive abilities and return home with the greatest possible independence. The Floor Tech performs cleaning duties to ensure the hospital’s physical environment meets established cleanliness and sanitation standards, as well as facility infection-control and safety standards. Duties include maintaining floors and furniture using various cleaning equipment and chemicals.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; two years of experience as a floor tech may be accepted in lieu of education.
- Ability to use floor care products properly and safely.
- Ability to project a professional image.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
- Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
- Freedom from illegal use of, and effects of use of, drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a healthcare or other hospitality environment.
- At least one year of floor care experience.
- Working knowledge of proper procedures for preparing and maintaining various types of floor coverings.
- Working knowledge of floor care products common to the industry.
