About The Position

HES is hiring a full-time Floor Tech to work in a school system. The role performs floor and carpet cleaning and finishing, including bonnet and extraction carpet cleaning, scrubbing, stripping, sealing, waxing, and spray buffing hard-surface floors. The Floor Tech operates and maintains floor-cleaning and finishing equipment, including buffers and burnishers, water extraction machines, and carpet-cleaning equipment, while following established safety precautions. The position is physically demanding and fast-paced, requiring efficient work and attention to detail. The posting identifies second and third shifts.

Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds.

Nice To Haves

High school degree preferred, but not required.
Previous floor tech experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Clean carpets using bonnet and extraction methods.
Scrub, strip, seal, wax, and spray buff hard-surface floors.
Operate high- and low-speed buffers up to 24 inches and propane burnishing equipment up to 3,000 RPM.
Operate and maintain floor buffers and burnishers, water extraction machines, carpet-cleaning equipment, and other floor-cleaning and finishing equipment.
Follow established safety precautions when cleaning and maintaining facility areas.
Work with others, take direction, and complete work efficiently with attention to detail.
