About The Position

The Floor Tech / Housekeeper works at The Montevista at Coronado, a senior living community operated by Stellar Senior Living. The role keeps residents’ living areas, apartments, and common areas clean and serviced to high standards. It also involves responding promptly and politely to resident complaints and questions while respecting each resident’s dignity, privacy, preferences, and individuality. The listed schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Requirements

• Ability to follow cleaning product instructions.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• A record of punctuality and reliability.
• Experience with carpet-cleaning machinery.
• Ability to adapt to changes as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Proven experience in house, office, or hotel cleaning is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Keep a cleaning cart stocked with needed items.
• Clean and maintain common-area floors and rooms as needed, using carpet-cleaning machinery and waxing, mopping, or other floor-care methods as needed.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and respect for residents’ rights, dignity, and individuality in all interactions.
• Clean assigned resident apartments and common areas daily according to facility procedures, including dusting, dry mopping, wet mopping, sanitizing, and scrubbing.
• Respect residents’ privacy and preferences regarding room arrangements and personal items; knock before entering resident areas and seek resident input on cleaning methods within reason.
• Dispose of trash, waste, and other materials safely, using identified precautions for contaminated materials.
• Resolve resident complaints and queries promptly and politely.
