About The Position

Cleans and maintains public guestroom areas (hallways, etc.), and general janitorial work for Hotel Housekeeping Department.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and write to 8th grade level or six months to one year job-related experience and/or training
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted
  • Mescalero Apache Tribal preference
  • Ability to explain and demonstrate Hospitality Behaviors and Performance Standards
  • Understands where to get the information needed to complete tasks to standard
  • Can explain and demonstrate technical skills used to complete tasks to standard
  • Can explain or demonstrate the behavioral values or standards needed to complete tasks to standard

Responsibilities

  • Cleans hallways and shampoos upon need
  • Dusts and cleans baseboards, ceiling and floor vents
  • Assists in any high work that the room attendant cannot reach
  • Cleans ash urns, take out cigarette butts and trash
  • Empties and cleans trash cans inside and out
  • Vacuums hallway carpets and dusts and cleans stairway rails, sweep down stairs
  • Cleans hall doors and windows, wipe window sills
  • Checks hallways for marks and smudges and cleans any marks and smudges
  • Cleans and dusts hallway furniture
  • Cleans and vacuums guestroom area elevators, clean threshold and tracks of elevators, clean elevators
  • Checks and empties Housekeepers' vacuum cleaners
  • Retrieves dirty linen and trash from Housekeepers' carts
  • Keeps Housemen's supply closets neat, cleaned, and stocked
  • Replaces dirty or wet floor mats
  • Gets supplies from purchasing, moves heavy furniture for Housekeepers, strips rooms on heavy check-out days as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned
