This position will keep all floors (tile, carpet, cement, etc.) throughout resort properties meeting the resort's high standards of clean. The specialist will have complete knowledge of floor cleaning equipment and all floor cleaning supplies, and be familiar with the complex and outlying areas. The role requires exhibiting great customer service skills with internal and external guests. Key responsibilities include keeping radios, pagers, keys, and vans safe, clean, and secure, and turning them in at the end of each shift. The specialist must respond immediately to all calls received via radio, phone, pager, or headset, and perform daily maintenance and cleaning of all floor care equipment. They are expected to clean all complex carpets, tiles, and cement, point out any problems or concerns to managers, and help coordinate special cleaning of floors at different times. The ability to politely and properly discuss special cleaning with other departments and their managers is essential. The specialist must maintain a good rapport with fellow employees, reflect a positive attitude, and comply with all GTRS grooming standards, consistently presenting a professional image. Adherence to all OSHA standards for machines and chemicals is required to promote a safe environment. The role may involve working in other job title areas of the housekeeping department due to business levels, lack of performers, or requests from higher-up positions. All assignments must be completed, and proper grooming and dress standards set forth by the Employee Handbook must be followed. Maintaining an open line of communication with supervisors and understanding and abiding by the resort's environmental practices (Green Mission statement, etc.) are also crucial.
