About The Position

Guelph Hyundai, part of the AutoCanada dealership network, is seeking an innovative, data-driven Floor Sales Manager to drive sales performance across new and pre-owned vehicles. This role focuses on leading from the sales floor, coaching the sales team, and fostering a high-performance selling culture. The ideal candidate will maximize showroom traffic, convert appointments to sales, manage CRM activity, and ensure effective follow-up with all customer interactions. A key aspect of this role involves collaborating with Sales Consultants and Sales Managers to enhance closing ratios, strengthen deal structures, support desking, and drive appointment conversions. The position requires strong leadership, hands-on coaching, consistent process execution, and accountability for team performance in activity, follow-up, customer experience, and sales results. Additionally, the Floor Sales Manager will support marketing initiatives, build client relationships, maintain compliance and safety standards, and contribute to financial performance and team development.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive sales management experience.
  • Strong understanding of dealership accounting practices, budgeting and expense management.
  • Ability to be professional and deliver exceptional service to clients.
  • Proven closing ability.
  • Excellent people management skills such as leadership, team development, interpersonal, coaching, mentoring, and supervisory skills.
  • A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities, perform a variety of tasks and meet required deadlines and targets.
  • A person of high integrity who is trusted by others and consistently honors their commitments.
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated and resourceful.
  • Results-driven and career focused individual with an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong desire to be successful.
  • Strong CRM discipline.
  • Understanding of Provincial Safety code requirements for dealerships.

Nice To Haves

  • Post-Secondary education in a related discipline would be considered an asset.
  • Experience using CRM systems or other automotive software systems would be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Execute established short, medium, and long-term sales objectives for new and pre-owned vehicle sales.
  • Develop and implement sales plans for the team to achieve monthly and annual goals.
  • Contribute ideas to and participate in the development and implementation of dealership marketing and advertising initiatives.
  • Ensure the successful conversion of iLeads to sales.
  • Monitor team performance metrics, including sales and customer experience.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients to promote the dealership’s brand.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategies for growth.
  • Curate an exceptional client experience.
  • Develop a strong team to fully execute the sales strategy.
  • Develop and encourage strong working relationships with all associates and stakeholders.
  • Deliver on financial results while ensuring compliance with company policies and corporate governance.
  • Promote professional development within a team environment, ensuring associates are held accountable.
  • Lead, demonstrate, and champion a healthy and safe work environment, ensuring all safety standards, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements are communicated, implemented, and followed.
