About The Position

The Floor Care Technician is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of floors throughout the district. This includes stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing carpets, and general floor maintenance. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to operate specialized floor care equipment.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in floor care or a related maintenance field.
Knowledge of floor care techniques and procedures.
Ability to operate and maintain floor care equipment.
Understanding of cleaning chemicals and their safe use.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Physical ability to perform the duties of the job, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

Experience with specialized floor care equipment.
Knowledge of carpet cleaning techniques.

Responsibilities

Perform floor care duties including stripping, waxing, buffing, and polishing floors.
Shampoo carpets and perform spot cleaning as needed.
Operate and maintain floor care equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, and extractors.
Clean and maintain all types of flooring surfaces.
Respond to floor care needs and requests from various departments.
Ensure all work is performed in a safe and efficient manner.
Maintain inventory of floor care supplies and equipment.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
