About The Position

Carlson Building Maintenance is hiring a Floor Care Technician in Plymouth, MN. In this role, you'll maintain hard floors and carpets in a large retail environment while learning professional floor care techniques and operating specialized cleaning equipment. No floor care experience is required as we can train the right candidate. This is a full-time position with weekly pay, offering a consistent schedule with Mondays and Tuesdays off, though weekend availability is required. The early shift allows for afternoons free.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
Reliable transportation required
Ability to lift up to 45 pounds
Ability to push and pull cleaning equipment
Strong attendance and reliability
Ability to work independently with limited supervision

Nice To Haves

Previous cleaning, custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, or floor care experience is helpful but not required
Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

Operate floor scrubbers, buffers, extractors, and other floor care equipment
Clean and maintain hard floor surfaces through scrubbing, buffing, and routine maintenance
Vacuum, shampoo, bonnet, and extract carpeted areas
Perform restroom and general cleaning duties as needed
Follow safety procedures and equipment guidelines
Maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment
Complete assigned cleaning projects independently and efficiently
