About The Position

DRTC Dale Rogers Training Center is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Floor Care Specialist to support custodial operations at the FAA Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center in an industrial environment. The role is suited to someone who takes pride in maintaining clean, safe, and professional facilities and can work independently.

The position is full-time and on site, Monday through Friday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. The stated pay is $17.75. The work includes maintaining floors and high-traffic areas, operating floor-care equipment, following cleaning schedules and safety procedures, and reporting equipment or supply needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of floor types, including VCT, tile, carpet, and concrete, and appropriate cleaning techniques.
• Ability to work independently and follow cleaning schedules.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have Real ID.
• Must pass required background screenings.
• Must meet badge requirements for assigned buildings.
• Must have reliable transportation to the Midwest City worksite.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. vertically and horizontally.
• Ability to bend, kneel, reach, push, pull, and operate floor equipment.
• Ability to work in an industrial environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.

Nice To Haves

• One year of floor-care or custodial experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub, buff, and burnish floors.
• Operate floor-care equipment, including auto-scrubbers, buffers, burnishers, and carpet extractors.
• Strip and wax floors according to schedule and facility standards.
• Vacuum carpets and perform spot cleaning or deep cleaning as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness in hallways, entryways, and high-traffic areas.
• Follow safety procedures and use proper personal protective equipment.
• Report equipment malfunctions or supply needs to supervisors.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
