About The Position

The Floating Leasing Consultant is responsible for marketing and leasing apartments, interacting with prospective residents, addressing day-to-day issues for current residents, and coordinating lease renewals. The role provides service to residents, prospects, and visitors across multiple properties within a designated market or region; it does not have a single designated worksite and requires travel between properties.

Requirements

• A BA/BS in business, sales, or a related field, relevant experience, or a combination of these.
• Strong marketing and creativity skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite and ability to use a computer.
• Superior interpersonal skills and ability to work on a team.
• Ability to perform basic to intermediate mathematical functions.
• Ability to travel between multiple properties in a designated market or region.
• Ability to walk, bend, reach, climb, and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to work with mechanical and electrical equipment and hazardous materials.
• Comfort working at heights and moving heavy objects.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of experience in multi-family leasing or at least 1 year of experience in B2B selling.
• Knowledge of Yardi Voyager or similar programs.

Responsibilities

• Lease apartments and sell property products and services in accordance with budget guidelines.
• Follow Fair Housing Standards when working with prospects and residents.
• Follow up on leasing traffic entries and monitor traffic trends.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of the property and major competitors, and conduct outside marketing activities.
• Coordinate application reviews, including credit and income verifications.
• Complete lease packets and resident files with leases, addendums, and other required documentation.
• Ensure leased apartments are ready before move-in, including conducting a final inspection and walk-through with the resident.
• Follow up with residents throughout their lease terms and coordinate lease renewals.
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure residents' needs are met.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
