About The Position

The Floating Lead Leasing Consultant assists Leasing Consultants with administrative and leasing tasks to help achieve maximum occupancy by quality residents, and performs other functions as assigned by the Community Manager. The role is considered essential to community operations, making consistent attendance important to effective performance and team workflow and communication. Work hours coincide with the community's hours of operation, and weekend work may be required as necessary.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
A valid driver's license if operating a vehicle.
Consistent attendance is an essential function of the position.

Nice To Haves

Some advanced real estate training, including familiarity with Landlord-Tenant and Fair Housing laws.
Prior experience in a leasing position.

Responsibilities

Abide by Fair Housing Laws.
Assist Leasing Consultants with tours of apartments for prospective residents.
Run credit reports on prospective residents.
Prepare lease packets.
Inspect apartments before showing them.
Maintain logs of property traffic, crossfire, and follow-up.
Lease units.
Provide information to prospective residents over the telephone.
Maintain a visible public-relations attitude toward current and prospective residents.
Maintain marketing binders, shopping reports, and outreach marketing.
Meet weekly with Leasing Consultants to set goals, target apartments, and ensure they understand current pricing packages, specials, and concessions.
Perform quarterly marketing surveys.
Type and file property-related reports as needed.
Assist with rent collection, bank deposits, or other general errands when asked.
Assist with resident-retention activities when asked.
