Part Time Floating Assistant Manager - Storage Property

Absolute Storage ManagementNashville, TN

About The Position

A Floating Assistant Manager is a dynamic role that supports multiple properties, rather than being tied to just one location. This provides the opportunity to build relationships with a wider group of team members across the area and gain exposure to different property types, teams, and challenges. The variety keeps the role engaging, as no two days are exactly the same—each assignment brings new situations, priorities, and opportunities to make an impact. The role involves assisting customers with renting units in-person, via phone, and through other advertising/marketing opportunities; enhancing sales through rentals, insurance and moving supplies. It also includes providing excellent customer service by identifying storage needs and offering solutions, guiding new customers through rental processes, and resolving issues professionally and positively. The position requires maintaining daily cleanliness and organization of the office, restrooms, grounds, and vacant units; keeping well-organized records and performing minor maintenance tasks and regular property inspections. Additionally, the role involves shopping local competitors in-person and online, reporting gathered information to supervisors, and performing additional marketing functions. Monitoring rates, specials, and revenue-related factors is also a key aspect. Daily administrative tasks include handling cash, balancing receipts, pursuing collections, posting payments, processing daily bank deposits, and completing auctions. If at a participating location, the role may involve assisting tenants with completing, processing, and returning rentals through programs such as U-Haul, Penske, or company-owned rental truck services.
