About The Position

This is a part-time floating assistant manager position, approximately 28 hours per week, requiring flexibility to work between properties in Commerce and Athens, GA, with occasional support for a third property in Monroe. The role involves assisting customers with rentals, providing excellent customer service, resolving issues, maintaining property cleanliness and organization, performing administrative tasks, and potentially assisting with rental truck services. The ideal candidate is someone with a high sense of urgency, strong multitasking abilities, good intuition, and an empathetic, outgoing, and approachable demeanor. Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • A background screening will be conducted at time of hire.
  • For positions that involve driving, a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in sales or retail environment preferred.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, customer service-related environment preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in property management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with renting units in-person, via phone, and through other advertising/marketing opportunities.
  • Enhance sales through rentals, insurance, and moving supplies.
  • Provide excellent customer service by identifying storage needs and offering solutions.
  • Guide new customers through rental processes.
  • Resolve issues professionally and positively.
  • Maintain daily cleanliness and organization of the office, restrooms, grounds, and vacant units.
  • Keep well-organized records.
  • Perform minor maintenance tasks and regular property inspections.
  • Shop local competitors in-person and online and report information gathered to supervisors.
  • Perform additional marketing functions as needed.
  • Monitor rates, specials, and revenue-related factors.
  • Perform required daily administrative tasks including handling cash, balancing receipts, pursuing collections, posting payments, processing daily bank deposits, and completing auctions according to policy and laws.
  • If at a participating location, assist tenants with completing, processing, and returning rentals through programs such as U-Haul, Penske, or company-owned rental truck services.
