Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Floater Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our Allergy team. In this role, you will support providers in delivering high-quality care to patients with allergic conditions, assist with allergy-related procedures and diagnostic testing, administer immunotherapy injections per protocol, and contribute to a safe and positive patient experience. This position requires travel to clinic locations where allergy services are provided.

Requirements

  • Current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in California
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred
  • Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Bilingual in both English and Spanish REQUIRED

Nice To Haves

  • allergy or immunology experience is a plus
  • Experience administering injections and managing patient flow
  • Familiarity with EMR systems
  • Knowledge of allergy testing and immunotherapy protocols

Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with patient examinations and allergy-related procedures
  • Administer medications, allergy shots, and immunotherapy injections within LVN scope of practice and in accordance with established protocols and monitor patients for any adverse reactions
  • Recognize and promptly respond to patient reactions, including initiating clinic emergency protocols and notifying the provider as needed
  • Assist with allergy testing procedures (e.g., skin prick and intradermal testing) per clinic protocol and provider direction
  • Document testing and patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Provide patient education regarding immunotherapy schedules, medications, and environmental avoidance strategies as directed by providers
  • Support patient flow and ensure a safe and efficient clinic environment
  • Monitor, stock, and maintain medical supplies, medications, and vaccines according to storage guidelines
  • Follow all infection control, safety, and clinic policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to coordinate patient care
  • Perform chart audits and review documentation for accuracy and completeness as directed
  • Work closely with Allergy Manager to improve processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned
