About The Position

Stay Clean Solutions, HQ in Livonia has been servicing the Metro Detroit Area for more than 35 years. We are looking for a dedicated janitor or custodian to add to our team. Person(s) must be able to take care of our buildings and carry out cleaning and maintenance duties. The goal is to keep our buildings in a clean and orderly condition. This role involves being part of a night-time floater custodial team, with lead positions available. The schedule is typically 6-7 days a week, with 6-8 hours per night, Monday through Sunday. There is flexibility for on-call duties on Saturdays and Sundays. The pay scale ranges from $18.00 - $22.00 per hour for the Lead Floater Custodian position, depending on experience. Compensation includes paid time between sites when using a personal vehicle, and a company vehicle may be provided when available. Pay is bi-weekly with a direct deposit option.

Requirements

Proven recent work experience as a custodian
Valid driver’s license
Reliable vehicle (no Lyft, Uber, rideshare, etc.)

Nice To Haves

Lead Floater Custodian must have 3-5 or more years’ experience as a janitorial team lead/supervisor
Integrity and ability to work independently
Trainable and communicate effectively

Responsibilities

Travel to multiple sites throughout the Detroit metro area each night; max travel time 60 min one way
Wiping surfaces, trash removal, cleaning restrooms, backpack vacuum & mopping
Operate a floor scrubber machine (as needed)
Open and close sites as necessary
Starting work at new sites
Provide Training and Quality Control
Stock and maintain supply room
Ability to work with others efficiently
Follow all health and safety regulations
