About The Position

The Float Pool Licensed Practical Nurse is a full-time employee of Villas of Holly Brook who travels among its 27 locations in Central and Southern Illinois and follows the same policies and computer system throughout employment. The nurse participates in developing and implementing the company’s philosophies, provides resident care, assists the Wellness Director with operations, supports staff, and may coordinate materials, equipment, and supplies. The role is responsible for implementing, delivering, and coordinating care services in the community.

Requirements

Hold an RN or LPN license to practice as required by state regulations.
Have experience in direct patient care and assessment or observation of clinical conditions.
Be CPR certified and have knowledge of basic first aid.
Complete all state-required training to maintain licensure.
Be able to work flexible hours due to the demands of the position.
Work weekends.

Responsibilities

Assist in supervising the medication program and activity in the medication room, and assist residents with self-administration of medication.
Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living as needed.
Maintain positive relations with residents, families, and physicians.
Report significant incidents and changes in residents’ needs to the Executive Director or Wellness Director.
Assist with resident assessments and service plans.
Assist with training assisted living staff and participate in orientation of new staff.
Attend and participate in scheduled in-service programs, training programs, and staff meetings.
Assist with scheduling and staffing caregivers as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
