Float Medical Assistant- Atlanta Physician Practices
About The Position
Float Medical Assistants provide coverage and support across multiple practices within the Atlanta network. Floating between physician practices is required. The role provides nursing assistance and patient care to support patients’ comfort, safety, and personal needs. The Medical Assistant floats to various offices as assigned to assist physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners in a medical office setting. The position performs a variety of patient care duties as part of a multidisciplinary patient care team, as delegated by a physician. Specific duties and responsibilities are determined by the supervising physician(s), clinical staff, and Practice Coordinator after competency is established.
Requirements
- One year of healthcare experience as a Medical Assistant.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
- Visual color acuity screening, depending on the role in specific units.
Nice To Haves
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant program or a U.S. Military Medic course.
