About The Position

The 2026 ATSG Summer Internship Program is a structured 7-week initiative designed to provide college students with hands-on experience across ATSG and its subsidiary companies. While some positions may be listed under specific ATSG business units, all internships are part of our company-wide program, offering a unified experience that includes professional development, mentorship, and networking opportunities. The Flight Support Specialist Intern provides support to the dispatchers, verification of jumpseat eligible persons through Dept. of Homeland Security and CASS. Update flight tracking system for all aircraft reroutes, diversions, etc. Provide timely assistance to aircraft dispatchers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Good communication skills (written and oral)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced multi-functional atmosphere
  • Effective geographical knowledge
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Flexibility to work all shifts including weekends, holidays, and shift changes if required

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer Microsoft Excel familiarity
  • Familiarity with 3-letter airport identifier codes
  • Knowledge of aviation operations

Responsibilities

  • Receive all incoming calls for the operation, forwarding them to respective departments as needed.
  • Monitor email for incoming documents and instructions from Operations and other departments. These documents include, but are not limited to, closeouts, NOTOC forms, jump seat requests and build/cancel requests.
  • Update the movement control system (Ops) with all flight information needed for companywide reporting.
  • Create Adhoc flights as requested by Systems Operational Control (SOC), as well as swaps, cancellations and deletions.
  • Process all jump seat requests using the CASS and TSA systems.
  • Ensure all jump seat information is entered into the jump seat report, NLCrew and TSA. Email CASS paperwork to crews and others as directed.
  • Send daily jump seat emails to outstation security departments.
  • Create and distribute the monthly maintenance rider and load master request spreadsheet.
  • Ensure the master jump seat spreadsheet is completed and updated as needed.
  • Update TSA program monthly with flight schedules.
  • Monitor Mbrief for closeouts and enter flight information into the system.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
