About The Position
iFLY is hiring a Flight Instructor for iFLY Ridge Hill to deliver indoor skydiving instruction and create safe, engaging experiences for participants of all skill levels. Instructors teach flight techniques and maneuvers, coach participants, enforce safety protocols, and contribute to a supportive team environment. The role is physically demanding and requires agility, stamina, and strength; candidates must pass a role-related Post Offer Employment Test before beginning training. Onboarding includes a Flight Instructor Training Program lasting approximately four to five months. Relocation to another location and/or state is necessary during training, and iFLY provides financial support for relocation expenses. During the training program, iFLY guarantees a minimum hourly rate of $22. The position also involves engaging guests with add-on options such as additional flight time, high flights, return visits, and media packages.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be in great physical condition and able to meet the physical demands of the role for long periods.
- Must pass the role-related Post Offer Employment Test (POET) before beginning training.
- Must be flexible to work weekends and holidays.
- Interest or background in coaching, teaching, and facilitating activity-based or entertainment-oriented roles.

- Commitment to continuous improvement through training, learning, and feedback.

Responsibilities
- Teach indoor skydiving maneuvers, body positioning, control techniques, and safety protocols.
- Engage participants with enthusiasm, professionalism, and a passion for flight.
- Enforce safety standards and help maintain safe, smooth operations.
- Conduct pre-flight safety and technique briefings, answer questions, and help calm participants’ nerves.
- Provide post-flight feedback to build participants’ confidence and skills and encourage new flyers.
- Collaborate with fellow instructors and staff to support an effective, cohesive team.
- Keep up with training tools and techniques to improve instructional skills and the customer experience.
- Promote add-on sales, including additional flight time, high flights, return visits, and media packages.
