About The Position

The Flexologist provides individualized, hands-on assisted stretching sessions and leads small-group stretching classes for up to six clients. The role combines movement and flexibility knowledge with customer service, client education, and relationship building. Flexologists help clients improve movement, mobility, and flexibility and work toward personal wellness goals in a welcoming, supportive studio environment. The role also supports client retention and membership growth, sales and community engagement, and daily studio operations. Selected candidates must complete the StretchLab Flexologist Training Program, consisting of 20 hours of online tutorials, two days of in-person hands-on training, and 20 hours of supervised or designated practice, as applicable to program requirements.

Requirements

At least two years of experience in a fitness, health, sports, or wellness environment involving hands-on client training or service delivery.
One of the following professional backgrounds: Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT); Certified Personal Trainer; Certified Athletic Trainer; sports coach with relevant hands-on training experience; or licensed Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant, as applicable to state requirements.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build rapport and demonstrate empathy.
Client-focused mindset and enthusiasm for helping people work toward mobility and wellness goals.
Ability to create a positive, inclusive environment for clients of different ages, abilities, and fitness levels.
Professional work ethic, reliability, punctuality, and adherence to attendance and scheduling policies.
Ability to perform hands-on assisted stretching and demonstrate stretching techniques in accordance with training, qualifications, and applicable requirements.
Willingness and availability to complete the StretchLab Flexologist Training Program.
Genuine passion for health, wellness, flexibility, mobility, and boutique fitness.

Responsibilities

Deliver personalized one-on-one assisted stretching sessions tailored to each client's needs, abilities, and goals.
Lead guided group stretching classes for up to six clients while providing appropriate individual attention and using safe techniques.
Encourage, motivate, and educate clients throughout sessions.
Apply appropriate stretching techniques while prioritizing client comfort, safety, and individual limitations.
Communicate professionally with clients about progress, session experiences, and wellness goals.
Maintain professional boundaries and work within the scope of qualifications and training.
Build client relationships that encourage engagement, satisfaction, and long-term retention.
Educate clients about consistent assisted stretching and available membership options to support membership growth.
Help create an inviting environment where clients feel comfortable, valued, and motivated to return.
Address client questions and concerns professionally and escalate matters when appropriate.
Collaborate with sales associates and studio management to support membership sales, client retention, and rebooking.
Assist the sales team and General Manager with studio tours, introductory sessions, and prospective client interactions as needed.
Participate in off-site events, community outreach, and promotional activities to increase brand awareness and generate new business.
Support studio marketing and social media initiatives that promote client engagement, membership retention, and community visibility.
Represent StretchLab professionally at in-studio and off-site events.
Clean, sanitize, and maintain stretching equipment and work areas.
Follow studio procedures, safety protocols, and operational policies.
Attend required staff meetings, educational presentations, and professional development sessions.
Complete required Flexologist Training Program coursework, hands-on instruction, and practice requirements.
Work collaboratively with studio leadership and team members to maintain consistent service standards and a positive team culture.
