About The Position

The Flexo Press Operator produces printed objects and materials using assigned printing machinery. The operator stages Flexo Presses with materials and tooling to support efficient workflow, runs presses, completes jobs efficiently, and assists with quality control in the pressroom. Additional activities may be assigned by a supervisor, including operating a machine or assisting with maintenance needs. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

• Ability to operate or quickly learn to operate various printing machines.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent mechanical skills.
• Punctuality and reliability.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with Mark Andy Printing equipment is required.
• Physically able to operate printing machines.
• Able to bend, twist, and kneel.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the Narrow Web Printing Industry preferred.
• Vocational or technical school training preferred.
• Previous related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate various types of printing machines.
• Review client requests to understand the scope and parameters of print jobs.
• Determine quantities required for print jobs.
• Align and configure machinery.
• Inspect random production samples to evaluate print quality.
• Troubleshoot printing-machine issues and make basic repairs.
• Perform routine maintenance on printing machines.
• Draft and submit reports for daily production totals.
• Maintain a clean area around printing machinery.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
