About The Position

Abbott Label is hiring a Flexo Press Operator for its Georgia office. The Press Operator produces printed materials using assigned printing machinery and stages flexo presses with the materials and tooling needed for efficient workflow. The role includes running presses and completing jobs efficiently, assisting with pressroom quality control, and performing additional activities as directed by a supervisor, which may include operating a machine or assisting with maintenance needs. Training is available for the right candidate.

Requirements

• Ability to operate or quickly learn to operate various printing machines.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent mechanical skills.
• Punctuality and reliability.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with Mark Andy Printing equipment is required.
• Ability to operate printing machines physically.
• Ability to bend, twist, and kneel.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the narrow web printing industry preferred.
• Vocational or technical school training preferred.
• Previous related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate various types of printing machines.
• Review client requests to understand the scope and parameters of print jobs.
• Determine the quantities required for print jobs.
• Align and configure machinery.
• Inspect random production samples to evaluate print quality.
• Troubleshoot printing machine issues and make basic repairs.
• Perform routine maintenance on printing machines.
• Draft and submit reports of daily production totals.
• Maintain a clean area around printing machinery.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
