About The Position

DSI Security Services is hiring a Flex Security Officer for the Tidewater area. Full-time and part-time shifts are available, and open availability is required. The role pays $20.00 per hour and requires willingness to drive up to 30 miles one way. The officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees while providing general security services to clients. The position involves routine foot patrols, moderate lifting, working outdoors in all-weather conditions as needed, and professional interactions with clients, visitors, employees, and the public. Employees must follow DSI and client requirements and post instructions, and participate in training on general safety procedures and DSI’s safety manual.

Requirements

Customer-service orientation and effective written and oral communication skills.
Basic to intermediate computer skills.
Ability to perform routine foot patrols and moderate lifting.
Open availability to work flexible hours.
At least 21 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license and Texas Security License.
Reliable means of transportation and communication.
Must meet all pre-employment requirements.
Must be willing to drive up to 30 miles one way.

Responsibilities

Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees while providing general security duties to clients.
Observe, correct, and report hazards to promote safety.
Understand and comply with DSI and client requirements and specific post instructions.
Participate in training and become familiar with general safety procedures and DSI’s safety manual.
Interact professionally with clients, visitors, employees, and the public.
Perform routine foot patrols and moderate lifting as required.
Work in all-weather conditions as needed.
