About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Flex Part-Time Security Officer in Reston, Virginia. The role provides a designated site and weekly anchor shift as a reliable base schedule, with a six-month commitment. In addition to those shifts, officers may claim available shifts through the scheduling platform to increase their hours and work at multiple sites. The schedule can vary from part-time to as much as 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The position is paid at $21.00 per hour.

The Security Officer supports safety and security at client sites, provides customer service, follows site-specific procedures, and responds to incidents. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site. Applicants are subject to background investigation and, where permitted by law, drug screening. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local rules; a valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients while carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies.
• Perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
