About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Visitor Welcome for an assigned healthcare site in Lakewood, New Jersey. The role provides a consistent weekly anchor shift, with a six-month commitment to the designated site and schedule. The officer may also claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the opportunity to build up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The hourly pay rate is $17.50.

The scheduled anchor shift is Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The position provides customer service and performs site-specific security and front desk duties for patients, visitors, staff, and vendors.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by following site-specific security procedures and front desk policies at a healthcare location.
• Monitor visitor access, verify identification as required, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate entry records according to site procedures.
• Answer and route incoming calls, provide directions and general information, and communicate professionally with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established emergency response procedures.
• Monitor front desk activity and report unusual activity, policy concerns, and maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.
