About The Position

DSI Security Services is hiring a full-time Flex Security Officer for the Oakland, California area. The officer provides general security services to clients and helps maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees. The role requires open availability and work in flexible hours, including working outdoors in all-weather conditions as needed. The officer will perform routine foot patrols and moderate lifting, follow DSI and client requirements and post instructions, and provide professional service to clients, visitors, employees, and the public. Candidates must be at least 21 years old, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and hold a valid driver's license and Texas Security License. A reliable means of transportation and communication, customer-service orientation, effective written and oral communication, basic to intermediate computer skills, and the ability to meet all pre-employment requirements are also required. Pre-employment screenings include a criminal background check, motor vehicle check, and drug screen. The position pays $22 per hour. Benefits listed include medical, dental, and vision insurance.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees while providing general security duties to clients.
Observe, correct, and report hazards to promote safety.
Understand and comply with DSI and client requirements and specific post instructions.
Participate in training and become familiar with general safety procedures and DSI’s safety manual.
Interact professionally with clients, visitors, employees, and the public.
Perform routine foot patrols and moderate lifting as required.
Work in all-weather elements as needed.
