About The Position

United Protective Services is hiring an experienced Multi-Site Security Officer to provide on-call coverage at commercial, residential, and mixed-use client properties in Houston, Texas, including ZIP codes 77079 and 77002. This is not a fixed-schedule position. The officer must be available 24/7 for coverage needs with little notice, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, and must live within 20 miles of ZIP code 77079. Requirements

• At least 1 year of verifiable security experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable personal transportation.
• Live within 20 miles of ZIP code 77079.
• Be fully available 24/7, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Maintain a professional appearance.
• Have strong report-writing skills.
• Be able to work independently at different locations.
• Hold a Texas security license.
• Be dependable, answer calls when contacted for coverage, and be comfortable with on-call work and no fixed schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide short-notice security coverage at various client sites.
• Conduct foot and/or vehicle patrols.
• Monitor access control and property entry points.
• Observe and report suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies.
• Write accurate, detailed daily activity and incident reports.
• Follow site-specific post orders.
• Maintain professional communication with clients and supervisors.
