About The Position

United Protective Services is seeking a professional, experienced Security Officer for a high-end, high-profile property in Houston, Texas. The position combines daytime parking-garage patrol with overnight lobby and front-desk coverage. The officer is expected to maintain high standards of professionalism in communication, appearance, and conduct while working independently and with others. This part-time role is scheduled for 19 hours per week: Wednesday in the lobby from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM and Friday as a garage rover from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The site is in the 77079 area of Houston. Pay is $15.50. Candidates must complete a required assessment to be considered. Travel is not required, and there is one opening.

Requirements

At least 1 year of professional security experience.
Live within 20 miles of ZIP code 77079.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license.
Reliable transportation.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Ability to stand, walk, and remain alert for extended periods.
Complete the required assessment to be considered.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine parking-garage patrols and monitor for safety hazards and suspicious activity.
Maintain a visible, professional presence throughout the property.
Provide lobby and front-desk coverage during overnight shifts.
Greet and assist tenants, visitors, and vendors professionally.
Monitor and control access to the building and garage areas.
Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and service requests.
Enforce site policies, procedures, and property rules consistently.
Complete accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation.
Communicate effectively with property management, tenants, and team members.
