About The Position

The Commercial Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales of new and retreaded commercial truck tires, along with related products and services, across assigned Goodyear Commercial Tire & Service Center locations. This role focuses on achieving profit goals, increasing market share, and expanding sales performance. A key responsibility includes managing 75 Target Accounts—defined as accounts with no purchases in the past six months—by executing strategic plans aligned with operating budgets. The manager serves as a key contributor to business growth through strong customer relationships and effective sales execution.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Direct selling experience in a business to business (B2B) environment.
  • Experience managing a sales team in business to business (B2B) environment.

Nice To Haves

  • A full understanding of commercial tire product applications, and experience in the field of auto, light truck, commercial and off-the-road tire products.

Responsibilities

  • Present Goodyear products and programs, highlighting the value of the Total Goodyear Program compared to competitors.
  • Prepare and review marketing initiatives, including specially priced merchandise and promotional offers.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers through sales calls and the Sales Activity Tool; submit weekly Results Reports to the Region Manager.
  • Conduct two fleet surveys per month for Target Accounts to assess needs and opportunities.
  • Organize and participate in Retread Plant Tours to educate and engage customers.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of Goodyear products and services to provide accurate, value-driven information.
  • Focus on growing retread sales, including mounted wheel programs, to support strategic goals.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries via email, providing clear and helpful information.
  • Advise customers on product usage based on catalog offerings and application needs.
  • Foster positive interactions with customers and team members to build lasting relationships and drive satisfaction.
