About The Position

Mobile Tire and Service Technician Opportunity in Irving, TX Join the BIG O TIRES Mobile Fleet Program BIG O TIRES is seeking experienced Mobile Tire and Service Technicians to become a part of our mobile fleet program, serving customers throughout the Greater San Antonio, Texas area. Note: Only applicants with 3-5 years of proven Automotive mechanical experience will be considered The ideal candidate for this position must have strong technical expertise as well as excellent customer service skills, as this role involves frequent customer interactions. The position will primarily cover the Greater Irving Texas Region and will require daily travel within the area as assigned by the Mobile Tire Dispatch team. Availability for overnight work is also necessary. Candidates must be at least 21 years old and have a clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for insurance purposes. Requirements

  • Possess knowledge of methods and techniques for vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Be trained in mounting, balancing, and repairing tires.
  • Perform basic brake replacement procedures as required.
  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
  • Show the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems, processes, and a dynamic work environment.
  • Be comfortable with daily regional travel; work schedules may include early, mid, and occasional overnight shifts.
  • Exhibit excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • 3-5 years of proven Automotive mechanical experience
  • clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for insurance purposes.

Nice To Haves

  • Trade school training or ASE certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections, vehicle repair, and servicing of cars and light trucks.
  • Proficient and experienced in Brake (ABS), Suspension, Drive Train, Undercar and Mfg PM Services
  • Operate a variety of hand, power, and shop tools, including tire changers and balancing equipment.
  • Conduct equipment inspections, make necessary adjustments, and complete certifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of time, expenses, and materials used.
  • Handle other related duties as assigned.
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of vehicles.
  • Effectively manage multiple priorities, organize workload efficiently, and meet deadlines.
  • Safely operate the company vehicle at all times.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and other stakeholders.
  • Provide support to other Mobile Service technicians and BIG O TIRES Service Centers as needed.
  • Travel regionally on a daily basis as part of the job requirements.
  • Respond with urgency to customer Roadside Assistance needs.
