About The Position

The Fleet Technician maintains and repairs fleet vehicles so drivers can operate safely and deliver PepsiCo brands. The role includes diagnosing mechanical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and helping ensure vehicles remain reliable and ready for service. The technician may work alongside experienced mechanics on more complex repairs and troubleshooting, and may return vehicles to the traffic center when needed. The position is based in San Antonio, Texas. The listed schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; weekend, holiday, and off-shift work may also be required. Training is provided through hands-on and classroom instruction. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role that involves working on or under trucks for an entire shift and lifting, bending, and moving throughout the day.

Requirements

At least 21 years of age.
Valid CDL Class B license.
Driver's license has not been suspended or revoked in connection with a moving violation within the past three years.
Ability to lift 50 pounds or more, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to work in tight spaces for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to work on or under trucks for an entire shift of 8 to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair fleet vehicles, including diagnosing mechanical issues and completing preventive maintenance.
Work alongside experienced mechanics on more complex repairs and troubleshooting.
Return vehicles to the traffic center when needed.
Manage parts inventory and accurately charge parts and labor to work orders using provided systems.
Build relationships with vendors when obtaining estimates for parts or outside labor.
