About The Position

Maintain and repair fleet vehicles to keep drivers safe and on the road delivering PepsiCo products. The role involves diagnosing mechanical issues, performing preventative maintenance, supporting more complex repairs and troubleshooting, managing parts and work orders, and coordinating with vendors. The position is based in Davenport, Iowa, and pays $30 per hour. The stated schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; weekend, holiday, or off-shift work may also be required. Hands-on and classroom on-the-job training is provided. The workplace is fast-paced and hands-on, with much of the day spent moving and working on vehicles.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid D10K Certification.
• Driver's license has not been suspended or revoked in connection with a moving violation within the past three years.
• Able to lift 50 pounds or more, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Able to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Able to work in tight spaces for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Required to work on or under trucks for an entire shift of 8 to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• CDL required when returning vehicles to the traffic center.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair fleet vehicles, including diagnosing mechanical issues and completing preventative maintenance.
• Work alongside experienced mechanics on more complex repairs and troubleshooting.
• Return vehicles to the traffic center when needed; a CDL is required for this task.
• Manage parts inventory and accurately charge parts and labor to work orders using provided systems.
• Build relationships with vendors when obtaining estimates for parts or outside labor.
