About The Position

The Fleet Technician maintains and repairs fleet vehicles to help keep drivers safe and vehicles on the road delivering PepsiCo brands. The role includes diagnosing mechanical issues, completing preventative maintenance, and working with experienced mechanics on complex repairs and troubleshooting. The technician may return vehicles to the traffic center when needed; a CDL is required for this task. The position also manages parts inventory, charges parts and labor to work orders using provided systems, and builds relationships with vendors to obtain estimates for parts or outside labor. Training includes hands-on and classroom instruction. The work takes place in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and involves being on the go for much of the day.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years old.
Have a valid driver's license and personal vehicle.
Have no driver's license suspension or revocation connected to a moving violation within the past three years.
Be able to lift 50 pounds or more, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Be able to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Be able to work in tight spaces for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Be able to work on or under trucks for an entire shift of 8 to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation.
A CDL is required when returning vehicles to the traffic center.

Responsibilities
