About The Position

Performs engineering work related to investigating and solving technical problems associated with the research, design, development, service, and manufacture of Gulfstream aircraft. Applies knowledge to address technical problems of moderate scope and complexity using judgment and defined practices and procedures. Works under general supervision on routine tasks, with supervision or mentorship when coordinating lower-level engineering staff. The role may involve occasional customer contact on routine issues, and requires the ability to communicate technical concepts in writing and verbally and to read, write, speak, and understand English. Travel is up to 25%, and the position is on the first shift.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related curriculum, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential job functions.
• 18 months of related engineering experience.
• Ability to apply knowledge and judgment to technical problems of moderate scope and complexity using defined practices and procedures.
• Ability to convey technical concepts in written and verbal formats.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Nice To Haves

• Gulfstream engineering experience on any of the G450, G550, G650, G500, G600, G700, or G800 aircraft.
• Experience with 3D modeling software.
• Experience with aircraft repair design.
• Experience writing aircraft repair instructions.
• Practical hands-on aircraft experience and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Solve typical engineering problems within the assigned discipline.
• Provide technical assistance to engineering staff and contribute to project milestones.
• Handle a complex engineering assignment or a full project of lesser complexity.
• Follow established schedules while developing plans for engineering assignments.
• Obtain appropriate supervisor approvals to ensure work accuracy and adequacy.
• Apply company and organizational policies and procedures.
• Work to improve daily processes and ensure work meets customer requirements.
• Maintain current knowledge of developments and applications of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the assigned field.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
