About The Position

The Fleet Supervisor will primarily focus on the distribution fleet (80%), acting as a dispatcher, overseeing drivers, ensuring compliance with ELD and transportation regulations, and managing the Samsara telematics platform. This includes monitoring driver performance, coordinating preventative maintenance, liaising with external service providers, tracking key performance indicators, managing fleet supplies, and leading incident investigations. Additionally, the role supports driver onboarding and evaluates route efficiency. A secondary focus (20%) involves overseeing the sales fleet vehicle program, supporting Territory Managers with vehicle assignments and maintenance, and managing vehicle lifecycle activities. General administrative duties include maintaining accurate fleet records, preparing performance reports, supporting budgeting, promoting a culture of safety, and collaborating with Warehouse, Supply Chain, and Sales leadership.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in fleet supervision, dispatch, or transportation.
  • Strong understanding of transportation regulations, ELD compliance, and fleet safety programs.
  • Experience with telematics platforms such as Samsara.
  • Experience managing third-party fleet providers such as Element or similar programs.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and fleet reporting tools.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with experience coaching drivers and field-based teams.

  • Diploma, degree or extensive experience in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Act as dispatch for the distribution fleet, including daily route allocation, driver scheduling, load coordination, and real-time issue resolution.
  • Oversee all distribution drivers, ensuring adherence to company policies, safety standards, customer service expectations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage fleet compliance including ELD administration, driver logs, hours of service, and transportation regulations.
  • Oversee Samsara telematics platform including GPS tracking, camera systems, performance metrics, safety events, and reporting.
  • Monitor driver performance data (idle time, harsh events, route adherence, fuel efficiency, etc.) and coach drivers to improve safety and efficiency.
  • Coordinate and manage preventative maintenance schedules, repairs, licensing, inspections, and compliance documentation for all distribution vehicles.
  • Liaise with external service providers and vendors for maintenance, repairs, fuel programs, and fleet-related services.
  • Track and report on fleet KSI’s including on-time delivery, safety metrics, maintenance costs, fuel usage, and downtime.
  • Manage fleet supplies including ELD hardware, safety equipment, PPE, vehicle tools, and required documentation.
  • Lead incident investigations related to vehicle accidents, safety events, or compliance violations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Support driver onboarding including vehicle training, safety orientation, and policy review.
  • Continuously evaluate route efficiency and recommend improvements to optimize cost, service levels, and asset utilization.
  • Oversee the sales fleet vehicle program using fleet management providers such as Element and Xcelerate.
  • Support Territory Managers with vehicle assignments, maintenance coordination, repairs, fuel cards, and compliance requirements.
  • Manage vehicle lifecycle activities including ordering, onboarding, transfers, and de-fleeting of sales vehicles.
  • Ensure proper documentation, insurance, licensing, and policy compliance for all sales fleet vehicles.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for sales team vehicle-related inquiries and issue resolution.
  • Maintain accurate fleet records and documentation for audits, compliance, and internal reporting.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly fleet performance reports.
  • Support budgeting and cost tracking related to maintenance, fuel, leasing, and capital planning.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement across both fleets.
  • Work closely with Warehouse, Supply Chain, and Sales leadership to align fleet operations with business needs.
