About The Position

Swickard Auto Group is seeking a Fleet Sales Manager for their Mercedes-Benz Sprinter dealership in Thousand Oaks, CA. This role is central to the dealership's growth as the highest-volume Mercedes-Benz Sprinter dealer group in the country. The Fleet Sales Manager will be responsible for selling new and pre-owned Sprinter vans to commercial fleet clients, managing the full sales cycle, building long-term client relationships, and actively prospecting for new business. The position requires a strong understanding of the Sprinter lineup, CRM proficiency, and a hospitality-first mindset. The ideal candidate will be a tenacious prospector and relationship builder with excellent communication and organizational skills.

Requirements

  • Demonstrates a high HQ (Hospitality Quotient) -- kindness and optimism, intellectual curiosity, strong work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity
  • 1-2+ years of B2B or commercial sales experience required -- commercial van or fleet sales experience strongly preferred
  • Strong CRM proficiency and solid computer literacy -- disciplined pipeline management is non-negotiable at this volume
  • Excellent communicator, negotiator, and organizer -- comfortable managing a large account portfolio without losing detail or follow-through
  • Self-starter with high initiative -- the goal is 2,000 vans this year and you're motivated by that kind of target
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Fleet management or commercial account management experience is a significant advantage
  • Knowledge of commercial vehicle industry trends, fleet buyer needs, and Sprinter product configurations a strong plus

Responsibilities

  • Sell new and pre-owned Sprinter vans to commercial fleet clients -- consistently meeting and exceeding volume and gross profit targets
  • Manage the full sales cycle from first inquiry through delivery and beyond -- serving as the primary point of contact for every fleet account
  • Build and grow a portfolio of long-term commercial client relationships through tailored consultations, vehicle demonstrations, and proactive follow-up
  • Actively prospect new business through outreach calls, online leads, referrals, and targeted networking within high-potential industries -- construction, logistics, medical transport, trade services, and beyond
  • Educate clients on the full Sprinter lineup -- payload configurations, upfit options, and the commercial advantages that make this the dominant van in the market
  • Manage all client contact and account activity in the CRM with detailed, accurate records of interactions, pipeline status, and follow-up commitments
  • Collaborate with service, parts, and finance to deliver a seamless client experience from purchase through ownership
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to grow the Thousand Oaks operation's share of the regional commercial van market
  • Stay current on commercial vehicle trends, competitor offerings, fleet buyer needs, and Sprinter product updates
  • Conduct all business ethically, professionally, and with a hospitality-first mindset -- every client interaction reflects Swickard and the Mercedes-Benz brand
