About The Position
The Fleet Mechanic is responsible for performing mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on company fleet vehicles. The role is based in Houston, Texas, and works Monday through Friday from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM. Starting pay ranges from $25.26 to $31.38 per hour, based on experience. Additional earning opportunities may include performance-based incentives, quarterly bonuses, and referral bonuses. Comprehensive benefits are also mentioned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of mechanic experience on light and heavy equipment.
- Demonstrated mechanical and technical aptitude.
- May be required to supply automotive hand tools, excluding heavy-duty or diagnostic tools.
Nice To Haves
- At least 3 years of journeyman mechanic experience.
- Experience with gasoline, diesel, and propane vehicles.
- ASE certification.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and complete repairs on all types of vehicles.
- Perform preventative maintenance on the fleet.
- Respond to service calls.
- Maintain tools.
- Clean the work area.
- Pick up and deliver vehicles.
