About The Position
Acadian Ambulance Service has an immediate opportunity for an experienced mechanic to work in its Beaumont, Texas shop. The mechanic will troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on ambulance vehicles and other company vehicles. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Clean driving record.
- Current driver's license.
- Two to three years of mechanical experience; on-the-job training is available.
- Mechanical knowledge, reading, writing, and speaking skills, and the ability to use hand and specialized tools.
- Have basic hand tools.
Nice To Haves
- Diesel mechanic experience.
- Related training from G.M. or other schools, trade or otherwise.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and repair company vehicles.
- Perform preventive maintenance on the ambulance fleet and other company vehicles.
- Write work tickets.
- Perform mechanical-related repairs.
- Work with shop employees and supervisors.
- Perform electrical repairs.
- Drive vehicles.
