About The Position

Join the team as a Fleet Mechanic, maintaining and repairing a fleet of vehicles and equipment. The role covers a range of machinery and tools, including gas vehicles, skid steers, excavators, generators, and landscaping equipment. The mechanic helps keep equipment in top condition for customers by conducting inspections and diagnostics, completing repairs and maintenance, troubleshooting issues, keeping accurate records, and coordinating with teammates to reduce downtime. The role also includes providing customers with guidance on equipment operation and maintenance.

Requirements

• Proven mechanic experience repairing and diagnosing gas engines and light-duty to heavy-duty vehicles and equipment, including skid steers, tractors, and mini excavators.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Proficiency diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Ability to perform repairs and maintenance efficiently and effectively to minimize equipment downtime.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, including the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics on equipment ranging from large machinery to small tools.
• Perform repairs and maintenance, from basic tune-ups to complex component replacements.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and expertise to identify causes and implement solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities and ensure compliance with safety standards and rental regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to prioritize work and complete repairs promptly, minimizing downtime for rented equipment.
• Provide customer service, guidance, and assistance regarding equipment operation and maintenance.
