About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Fleet Mechanic to join our team. The Fleet Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a fleet of vehicles and equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
2+ years of experience as a fleet, diesel, automotive, or heavy equipment mechanic.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Knowledge of modern vehicle repair, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and repair procedures.
Strong electrical diagnostic skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying environmental conditions.

Nice To Haves

ASE Certifications or equivalent technical certifications.
CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
Experience working on commercial vehicles and off highway diesel equipment.
Welding and fabrication experience.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
Repair and replace engines, transmissions, brakes, steering systems, suspensions, and other components.
Upfit new vehicles with accessory upgrades.
Perform DOT vehicle and trailer inspections.
Conduct vehicle inspections and document maintenance activities.
Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve problems.
Ensure all repairs comply with company standards and safety regulations.
Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
Respond to road calls and emergency repairs as needed.
Manage parts inventory and communicate parts requirements.
Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
