About The Position

The position is responsible for working under the Shop Manager to perform preventive maintenance, and basic to intermediate diagnostics and repairs on gas and diesel automobiles, heavy-duty trucks, heavy equipment, and small-engine equipment.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years experience as auto/heavy duty diesel and small engine mechanic or equivalent combination of completed technical training and experience will be considered
Must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Must be able to get DOT Medical Certification
Highly motivated, self-driven, and detailed oriented
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Time management and organizational skills
Must be professional in appearance and actions
Punctual and dependable with a can-do attitude
Ability to independently and within a team
Ability to work effectively with individuals of differing backgrounds, knowledge, and skill levels.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual (Spanish) a plus, not required

Responsibilities

Repair of heavy-duty diesel trucks and tractor-trailers
Repair trailers
Repair heavy equipment
Repair diesel and gas light/medium-duty trucks, pickup trucks, vans, and cars, as needed.
Repair small equipment including mowers, string trimmers, blowers, etc.
Perform PM services and DOT inspections
Provide accurate repair order documentation
Welding as needed
On the Road Technician (including after hours, as needed)
Must be available to work during all-weather events
