About The Position

Join the team as a Fleet Mechanic, maintaining and repairing a fleet of vehicles and a broad range of equipment. The role covers gas vehicles, skid steers, excavators, generators, landscaping equipment, large machinery, and small tools. The mechanic helps keep equipment reliable and in good working condition for customers, while minimizing downtime for rented equipment and providing customers with guidance on equipment operation and maintenance.

Requirements

• Proven mechanic experience repairing and diagnosing gas engines and working on light-duty through heavy-duty vehicles and equipment, including skid steers, tractors, and mini excavators.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Ability to perform repairs and maintenance efficiently and effectively to minimize equipment downtime.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, including the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics on diverse equipment, including large machinery and small tools.
• Perform repairs and maintenance, from basic tune-ups to complex component replacements.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions using diagnostic tools and expertise.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities and ensure compliance with safety standards and rental regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to prioritize work and complete repairs promptly, minimizing downtime for rented equipment.
• Provide customer service and offer guidance on equipment operation and maintenance.
