Sanimax is seeking an experienced Fleet Mechanic to join our South St-Paul team for the day shift.
Requirements
- MIG welding experience required
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of DOT standards and preventive maintenance practices
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in trailer repair and maintenance strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform pre-inspections on all fleet equipment to ensure safety and road readiness
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain trucks and trailers, with a focus on end-dump equipment
- Conduct routine maintenance and light repairs on yard equipment
- Utilize diagnostic tools to accurately identify mechanical and electrical issues
- Perform welding and metal fabrication tasks (MIG welding preferred)
- Complete work orders and maintain accurate service records in a timely manner
- Execute preventive maintenance in compliance with DOT regulations
- Collaborate closely with the Transportation team to ensure fleet reliability and operational efficiency
