About The Position

The Fleet Manager coordinates and supervises vehicle maintenance and repair work, monitors progress and quality, and oversees mechanics, including coaching and training. The role ensures the DVIR process is followed, reviews and prioritizes DVIR repairs, assigns preventive maintenance according to schedule, and conducts quality inspections. The Fleet Manager helps ensure safe, reliable vehicles are available for operational requirements and manages effective vehicle-asset utilization through vehicle management systems. The role also ensures maintenance shops are adequately staffed and mechanics are properly trained, while upholding FCC safety standards and regulations. Other duties may be assigned to support a successful, ethical, and safe shop and workforce. Requirements

Bachelor's degree (accredited), or a high school diploma or GED (accredited) and five years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and supervise maintenance work and repairs, and monitor progress and quality.
Review DVIR repairs and prioritize and assign repairs.
Ensure the DVIR process is followed.
Supervise, coach, and train mechanics.
Ensure consistent application of safety regulations and policies.
Assign preventive maintenance according to the PM schedule and conduct quality inspections on preventive maintenance work.
Ensure safe and reliable vehicles are available to meet operational requirements.
Manage effective utilization of vehicle assets using vehicle management systems.
Ensure maintenance shops are adequately staffed and mechanics are properly trained.
Comply with and ensure adherence to FCC safety standards and regulations.
Perform other duties necessary to support a successful, ethical, and safe shop and workforce.
