About The Position

The Fleet Manager coordinates and supervises vehicle maintenance and repairs, monitors work progress and quality, and helps ensure safe, reliable vehicles are available for operational needs. The role oversees mechanics, assigns and inspects preventive maintenance, manages vehicle assets using vehicle management systems, and ensures safety policies and regulations are followed. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, or a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution plus five years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and supervise maintenance work and repairs, monitoring progress and quality.
Review DVIR repairs, prioritize and assign repairs, and ensure the DVIR process is followed.
Supervise mechanics, including coaching and training.
Ensure consistent application of safety regulations and policies.
Assign preventive maintenance work according to the PM schedule and conduct quality inspections.
Ensure safe and reliable vehicles are available to meet operational requirements.
Manage effective utilization of vehicle assets using vehicle management systems.
Ensure maintenance shops are adequately staffed and mechanics are properly trained.
Comply with and ensure adherence to FCC’s safety standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations.
Perform other duties necessary to support a successful, ethical, and safe shop and workforce.
