About The Position

Hilton Mechanical Contractors is seeking any current employees interested in serving as our Fleet Manager, overseeing vehicle and equipment fleet operations across our Georgia locations. This role involves managing maintenance schedules, fleet compliance, vendor relationships, and supervising our maintenance team to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently. The Fleet Manager is responsible for the overall management, coordination, and strategic oversight of HMC's vehicle and equipment fleet across all of our locations and jobsites. This role ensures fleet assets are properly maintained, compliant, utilized efficiently, and cost-effectively managed to support shop and field operations.

Requirements

Valid driver's license with clean MVR

Nice To Haves

Experience in fleet management, logistics, or related field
Experience managing mixed fleets (service trucks, heavy equipment, trailers)
Strong organizational and data management skills
Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA compliance requirements
Familiarity with fleet management platforms (Samsara, Fleetio, VZConnect, or similar) preferred
CDL preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Oversee all fleet vehicles and equipment across work locations
Manage fleet acquisition, disposal, registration, titling, and insurance requirements
Develop and enforce preventive maintenance schedules and compliance standards
Track and analyze fleet utilization, fuel consumption, and operating costs
Coordinate with project managers and foremen on equipment needs and availability
Supervise maintenance and mechanic personnel
Manage vendor and supplier relationships for parts, tires, fuel, and outsourced repairs
Maintain accurate fleet records including inspection logs, service history, and DOT documentation
Ensure compliance with FMCSA, DOT, and Georgia state vehicle regulations
Identify and implement fleet management software/tools to improve efficiency
