About The Position

The Procurement Specialist will be accountable for the support of CSX Company Vehicle procurement processes, which will include data collection and analysis, interrogation of multiple data sources, and preparation of data to inform procurement decisions, contract negotiations, and implementation of Supplier Relationship Management processes, as well as managing robust communication with suppliers and internal business partners. This role will partner with all supporting business functions to assist in the management of company vehicles fleet operation functions, such as overall fleet management, maintenance vendor relationships, internal business partner assignments, short-term rental, and fuel card support, with a sense of urgency. The specialist will develop and implement action plans to resolve identified concerns associated with company vehicles fleet operations, communicate with internal business partners and external vendors while effectively completing projects, and demonstrate CSX's sense of urgency in supporting company operations. Data input to assist on company vehicle related functions and miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by the manager are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree/4-year Degree
  • Less than 1 year of experience in Finance, Project Mgmt, Investment recovery, Asset Sales
  • Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management
  • Ability to work independently and with diverse teams
  • Strong sense of urgency and personal accountability
  • Solid written and oral communication skills
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Leadership

Responsibilities
