About The Position
Under regular supervision, this role configures new vehicles and equipment. It also assists with tasks involving services, maintenance, and repairs to County vehicles and other motorized equipment, including trailers, ensuring they are in proper working order. The position performs preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment. This class receives direction and leadership from the Fleet Manager and Shop Foreman, who coordinate, assign, and monitor work assignments.
Requirements
- Two years' experience in automotive repair or new vehicle preparation.
- At least one year experience in the service and installation of motorized equipment.
- Training, education, or experience equivalent to the above.
Nice To Haves
- Graduation from high school or GED is preferred.
