Fleet Maintenance Manager
About The Position
Palmetto Yacht Management is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Manager to lead ground operations in Manning, SC. This role is for a hands-on leader who thrives on operational excellence, strict adherence to protocol, and a passion for exceeding service standards. The Fleet Maintenance Manager will manage daily shop activities, lead a team of technicians, a welding shop, and parts specialists. This is not a desk job; the manager will be heavily involved in all daily operations at the ground level. Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of related experience as a Shop Foreman, Fleet Maintenance Manager, or equivalent leadership role.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Minimum requirement).
- Proven proficiency utilizing Fleet Maintenance Software to track assets, parts, labor, service entries, and work orders.
- Deep technical understanding of heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
- Elite organizational and management skills.
- Automotive / Truck Maintenance & Repair knowledge.
- Knowledge of Trailer Suspension Systems (Torsion / Leaf).
- Knowledge of Hubs, Bearings, Seals.
- Knowledge of Disc & Drum Brake Systems.
- Knowledge of Electrical Systems & Troubleshooting.
- Welding & Fabrication skills.
- Upfitting & Customization experience.
- Knowledge of DOT Compliance.

- Some continued education is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily shop workflow, schedule repairs, and oversee technicians and shop staff to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Ensure absolute adherence to Palmetto Yacht Management’s proprietary Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Oversee the customization, modification, and preventative maintenance of RAM trucks and custom trailers using Fleet Maintenance Software.
- Conduct rigorous equipment inspections and enforce a culture of safety and precision throughout the shops.
